Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar techniques, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. This policy covers both.
Our approach
By default we only use necessary cookies: they make the website work and do not track you. Optional cookies, such as analytics or marketing cookies, are only placed after you give consent. We currently do not use any optional cookies and no third-party cookies. The website works fully if you decline everything that is optional — there is no cookie wall.
Legal basis
Necessary cookies are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules (in the Netherlands: art. 11.7a Telecommunicatiewet) because they are strictly needed for the service you request, such as remembering your language. Optional cookies require your prior, freely given consent under the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR (AVG). We record your choice so we can demonstrate consent.
Your choices
On your first visit we ask for your cookie preferences. “Accept all” and “Necessary only” are equally easy to choose, and nothing optional is switched on in advance. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page or with the button below. We store your choice for 12 months and then ask again, or sooner if this policy changes materially.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, the website will choose a language based on your browser settings and will ask for your cookie preferences again.
Questions
For questions about cookies or privacy, contact us via the contact form. More about how we process personal data can be found in our privacy policy. You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
